A lone first responder stands by the fence surrounding ground zero at sunrise. This graphic representation serves to remind us that more than 5 years later we are faced with an increasing amount of people becoming ill because of exposure to the toxins released during the collapse of the World Trade Center. These include thousands of first responders as well as volunteers, residents, students and people in the downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn in the months following 9/11. Artists4hope's primary goal for this image is to raise the publics’ awareness of the extent of problems that the 9/11 community face today as well as to raise funds to alleviate some of this suffering. Epilogue funds will allow several charities to unify and lend a hand to those who need it the most. In conjunction with organizations such as The FEALGOOD Foundation, the proceeds of this image will go to provide assistance in the form of financial relief and the funding of different medical treatments for sick Ground Zero workers.
